AUSTIN (KXAN) - Police are investigating a robbery that happened at the IBC bank at The Domain in North Austin Thursday morning that may be tied to a serial bank robber that police are calling the "Trick or Treat bandit."
It happened at 9:29 a.m. at 11400 Burnet Road.
Austin Police Department said he may be responsible for as many as seven robberies in Austin. They said the suspect usually enters the bank, displays a handgun and demands cash. He has left each scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
No injuries have been reported in the incidents.
The suspect is described as:
The suspect has been seen in a late 1990s to early 2000s Toyota Camry, green or gray in color, with gold trim and lettering, and a sun roof.
APD believes the suspect is responsible for these robberies:
This is the 14th bank robbery of the year, and there were 26 bank robberies last year at this time. In 2010, there were 36.
