AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin-based sushi restaurant How Do You Roll? opened its sixth hometown location Monday in the Mueller area on Barbara Jordan Boulevard.

The newest custom sushi shop will celebrate its grand opening later this week with a “buy one roll, get one roll free” offer on Friday to all customers, no coupon is necessary.

“It’s a great location and we’re looking forward to having a greater presence in our hometown,” said Yuen Yung, chief executive.

According to Yung, the new location in Mueller furthers the sushi revolution in Austin as the first location east of Interstate Highway 35.

The create-your-own sushi roll model that How Do You Roll? has introduced offers a variety of choices to customers. Those who shy away from raw fish can enjoy non-traditional ingredients like grilled chicken and strawberries. In addition to rolls, customers can now also build their own bowls,Yung said.

According to the company's website , there are 16 How Do You Roll? locations now rolling nation-wide, with 10 in Texas.
