CEDAR PARK (KXAN) - The Hill Country Christmas Bureau passed out gifts to hundreds of families on Sunday morning.

The Hill Country Christmas Bureau has spent the last month making sure no one had confused the charity with the Austin Christmas Bureau, which has been fraught with problems this Christmas. The Austin Police Department has launched an investigation into the Austin Christmas Bureau.

"We at the Hill Country Christmas Bureau are not shut down," insists the group's website . "We begin each year with zero and depend on your donations to help and then clean out that account for the year, giving all we have received. With giving decreased, we hope we can county on you past supporters and enlist new ones."

The Bureau is still looking for donations this holiday season.
