AUSTIN (KXAN) - An unidentified man, 18, has been taken out of Pace Bend Park by StarFlight helicopter after falling off a cliff in the park Saturday evening.
Emergency medical service officials said it was too early to know whether the man had jumped or fell off the cliff 50 feet. First responders used a high-angle rescue and a helicopter to move the man. He had injuries to his head, legs and face significant enough to be considered serious.
StarFlight was expected to transport the man to UMC-Brackenridge Hospital.
In June, a man who was at a memorial service for a friend at Pace Bend fell to his death off a cliff at the park.
