AUSTIN (KXAN) - The standoff has ended without incident. The suspect was taken into police custod before 2:00 a.m. 

Gunfire was exchanged at the scene of a SWAT situation at an apartment complex in northwest Austin.

Police said they originally responded to the call for a suicidal man in the 7200 block of Wood Hollow on Friday night around 9:30 p.m. 

When officers arrived at the apartment, the man refused to come out. 

SWAT was called in to assist with the situation. 

An hour and a half into the incident, the man came out and fired shots at the officers, one officer returned fire. Police said no one was injured. 

Police evacuated nearby residents.
