AUSITN (KXAN) - February is Black History Month and Roxanne Evans from the Texas Black History Preservation Project was in the KXAN studio Saturday to talk about it’s screening and post-discussion of the film The Great Debaters.

The discussion will be led by famed Texas Southern University debate coach Dr. Thomas Freeman.

Freeman trained actor Denzel Washington and the cast for the film that was released in 2007.

The event will be at Thompson Conference Center near the UT campus and will begin at 6 p.m.
