AUSTIN (KXAN) - Police are searching for a man who robbed a pawn shop in Southeast Austin while wearing a gorilla mask.

Police said the masked suspect came into the Cash American Pawn in the 1900 block of East Riverside Drive just before 5:30 p.m.

The suspect had a gun and fired one shot which injured a female employee. The employee was transported to the hospital with an injury to her arm.

Authorities are canvassing the apartments around the business to see if they can find the suspect.
