FREDERICKSBURG, Texas (KXAN) - Funeral arrangements for an Austin Travis County EMS paramedic killed in a car accident over the weekend has been set.
Captain Randy Trinkle died on Saturday morning when he ran into another vehicle on Highway 290 near Fredericksburg.
Friends said he was headed to his home in Fredericksburg after working an overnight shift with ATCEMS -- where he had been working for 15 years.
Trinkle helped train members of the special operations team and helped out with Fredericksburg EMS.
Visitations will be held at the Schaetter Funeral Home located at 301 East San Antonio Street, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624. Below are the specific times during which you may visit.
Trinkle's service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6 at First Baptist Church Fredericksburg located at 1407 E. Main Street, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.
Burial will follow after the service at Greenwood Cemetery located at 1665 N. Llano Street, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.
Trinkle had a wife and two children.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a fund established for Randy’s children at Austin Telco Federal Credit Union in the name of Anna B. Trinkle, or the Austin Paramedics Relief Fund in honor of Captain Randy Trinkle at www.austinparamedicfund.org
The fund works to help EMS families impacted by the unexpected and local charities.
