AUSTIN (KXAN) - Zynga -- the creator of the online game "Farmville" and many others -- is reportedly laying off hundreds of workers in Austin and in Boston, Tokyo, and Chicago. This is according to Forbes.com.
The Facebook game maker has suffered in recent months -- with its stock dropping 73 percent since May.
Zynga is expected to release its quarterly earnings report on Wednesday.
Forbes says Zynga employees had no idea about the layoffs.
Zynga has not responded to attempts to contact the company.
A spokesperson for the Texas Workforce Commission said they do not have any reports of layoffs, but said their system can sometimes lag by a day.
