AUSTIN (KXAN) - Blogger Kay Marley-Dilworth, a guest on Sunday morning's KXAN News Today,  is part of a "support group" ready to reach out to Austin as a whole: the foodie bloggers.

Get ready to meet the people who eat, breathe and enthusiastically discuss all things Austin food.

Austin has a large number of foodie bloggers, those who revel in the tastes and triumphs of Austin's many restaurants, from food trailer to swanky eateria. And the group of bloggers is generally supportive of each other as members of the Austin Food Blogger Alliance, coming together to create the 2012 City Guide.

The 2012 City Guide includes the best of the best, as well as reviews for the city's top restaurants. topics in the guide include the best spots for sustainable eating, entertaining clients and late-night eats.

In her interview with anchor Brian Sanders, Marley-Dilworth said her Twitter account is more friendly recommendations than critical reviews, and her Twitter feed often is answers to questions such as whether to find the best kolaches in Austin or what would be the ideal place to take Grandma when she comes for a visit. She also frequently talks about the city's food trucks and farmers markets.

The Austin Food Blogger Alliance does keep its own Twitter stream at its home page. The group also adheres to a code of ethics , which includes "writing about the culinary world with the care of a professional."
