AUSTIN (KXAN) - Former Navy SEAL and expert sniper Chris Kyle will be buried at the Texas State Cemetery in East Austin on Tuesday.

The Department of Public Safety is coordinating the escort from Midlothian to Austin on Tuesday.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the processional will begin on US-67, just west of US 287 at approximately 9 a.m. and continue south and then on IH-35 to Austin.

A public memorial for Kyle is scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m. at the Cowboys Stadium.

38-year-old Kyle, along with his friend 35-year-old Chad Littlefield, was killed last weekend at a Texas gun range in Erath County.

Police have charged Edie Ray Routh, 25, a former Marine, with murder.
