AUSTIN (KXAN) - An exhibit that opened on Sept. 1 at the Lady Bird Wildflower Center salutes the former First Lady's work spearheading the hike-and-bike trail along Town Lake.
A variety of exhibits and events are planned for 2012, the centennial of Lady Bird Johnson's birth. The latest exhibit showcases her work to create the space now known as the hike-and-bike trail.
The Wildflower Center will be open through Labor Day weekend, including Monday, when the center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
