AUSTIN (KXAN) - A row of apartments burned in Northwest Austin on Wednesday morning with heavy fire coming from the second floor and the attic.
The fire at 7811 Parliament Place near Spicewood Springs Road went to two alarms around 7:30 a.m. it appeared that one of the six connected units was considered a total loss. The fire was out by about 8:40 a.m.
All of the units were evacuated but no injuries were reported.
The fire was cause was determined to be discarded smoking material, officials said. The damaged was estimated at $350,000 to the structures and $50,000 to the contents.
