AUSTIN (KXAN) - While Austin's Blue Santa program is still reeling from the fallout of the Austin Travis County Christmas Bureau investigation, coordinators are asking individuals to keep on donating to help Blue Santa meets its goals this season.

One way you can help and have fun at the same time is by attending the Chuy's Children Giving to Children Parade on Saturday, Dec. 1.

Those attending the parade are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to donate for infants to four-year-olds and 8-14 year-olds.

In addition, the parade will feature giant inflatable balloons, live music, children's entertainers, marching bands, holiday floats and Santa Claus.

2012 Olympic men's 1500m Silver Medalist Leo Manzano will be the Grand Marshal of this year's parade.

Last year more than 50,000 spectators participated and the parade collected 20 percent of the toys Operation Blue Santa needed for the season.

The parade begins at 11 a.m. in front of the State Capitol on 11th Street and Congress Avenue.
