AUSTIN (KXAN) - Dense fog settled over Central Texas early Tuesday morning.
Visibilities dropped to less than a mile along the Interstate 35 corridor from Georgetown to San Marcos, and the dense conditions near Bull Creek and 45th Street made for difficult driving conditions. (Video courtesy: Alicia Dean/KXAN)
The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory that remains in effect until 10 a.m.
The fog with patchy drizzle and mist slowed the morning commute in Austin.
The fog and mist should begin lifting midmorning, but the cloud cover will remain stubborn.
Even so, our mild morning temperatures will warm into the upper 70s by Tuesday afternoon. The warmer-than-normal conditions will stick around until the end of the week.
