AUSTIN (KXAN) - A Del Valle school bus ran into some utility lines in East Austin on Wednesday afternoon but none of the five children on board were injured.

The driver's-side windshield was smashed in because of the impact.

Officials said a crew was doing some work in around the site before the crash occurred, which made the lines low enough for the bus to come in contact with them around 4:30 p.m.

The mishap occurred near Farm to Market 969 and Decker Lane. Parents were called to take their children home, officials said.
