AUSTIN (KXAN) - Some lucky Austinites will get the chance to watch "Dazed and Confused," one of the many films shot in the capital city.

The movie was released back in 1993, and it launched the careers of several actors in Hollywood, including Matthew McConaughey and Ben Affleck.

The Austin Film Society is hosting a screening on Wednesday night that will reunite some of the characters in the film, including director and writer Richard Linklater.

On Thursday, the cast will accept the Star of Texas Award at the Texas Film Hall of Fame.
