“A powerful upper-level storm system approaches this evening, a threat of severe weather enters the picture,” KXAN Meteorologist David Yeomans said last night.
No severe weather was reported in the Austin area or to the east of Austin. To the west, in San Saba and Mason counties, hail as big as two inches across was found. Most of the Hill Country saw one to two inches of rain. Austin Bergstrom International Airport saw one inch of rain.
The KXAN weather team continues to monitor weather as it passes over Central Texas.
The Austin area simply saw rain, but golf ball-sized hail was reported in San Saba County.
