AUSTIN (KXAN) - Christmas is over and you might be wondering what to do with the Christmas Tree you still have on display.
The City of Austin and the Resource Recovery department has your answer for going green by recycling your Christmas tree.
All Austin residents, including those with City of Austin curbside service, can drop off their trees at the Zilker Park Polo Fields. The tree recycling event begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. during the first two weekends in January.
Trees collected at Zilker Park will be recycled into mulch, which will be available on a first come, first served basis on January 16.
