AUSTIN (KXAN) - Paramedics on Wednesday morning treated someone who was stung several times by swarming bees in Central Austin.

EMS crews were called in the 5700 block of Avenue D, before noon where hone bees were swarming from a tree.

Austin-Travis County EMS paramedics evaluated the 30-yearold man at the scene for several minutes after it was determined the bees were no longer a threat to the victim or themselves. The man, whose name was not released told paramedics he had never seen a swarm of bees as large as the one he encountered.

He was treated at an Austin hospital and was expected to recover.
