AUSTIN (KXAN) - No one is sure when or why, but decorating the cedar trees along Loop 360 is now an Austin tradition.
People come from all over to make-over the trees. Themes and decor range, from fancy ornaments to homemade creations.
This year, the Renz family took part in the tradition for the first time.
Rich Renz said, "One thing we noticed last year driving down 360 was the trees were decorated. We thought it was really neat so this year we decided to make some ornaments and put them on the tree."
Mary Vu is an Austin native and now she brings her family up from San Antonio every Thanksgiving, to check out the trees.
Vu told KXAN, "This has changed a lot. It has. It used to be one or two but just this year I noticed this whole strip is full. It's beautiful. I think this is the best part of Austin."
