Power back on after car wreck with pole

Austin Energy restores power to 2,775

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A car ran into a power pole in South Austin, knocking out power to 2,775 people --  which has since been restored.

People without power for just more than an hour after the outage started at 6:38 a.m., spurred by the wreck at Slaughter Lane and Roxanna Drive.

Austin police also dealt with several lights out along Slaughter Lane, as far west as Bowie High School.
