AUSTIN (KXAN) - A man is being hospitalized Tuesday morning at University Medical Center Brackenridge after a car got pinned underneath an 18-wheeler on Interstate 35.
There are no specifics on the man's injuries, but EMS crews said 911 callers said the person who was inside the trapped car was awake and alert.
The driver of the 18-wheeler refused any medical treatment.
Austin police said the call came in around 10 a.m. Tuesday for a wreck on I-35 heading north near Slaughter Lane in South Austin.
That's about the time when a gray sedan got stuck beneath the transport truck at 10500 South I-35 northbound near Onion Creek Parkway.
