Car hits bicyclist on MLK Boulevard

Officials said he has a leg injury

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A bicyclist was hit and the front tire of his bike mangled after he was struck by a car at the corner of San Gabriel Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard. The crash happened just after 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Paramedics strapped the unidentified cyclist to a board before the loaded him into an ambulance. Officials said he had a leg injury and should be OK.

Passersby stood and watched, most of them showing sorrow on their faces.
