AUSTIN (KXAN) - Seven people have been transported to nearby hospitals after a Texas State University bus collided with an SUV in Downtown Austin on Thursday afternoon.
Police said the accident happened at the intersection of a Trinity and Fifth streets shortly after 3 p.m.
One person was taken to St. David's Hospital and six others were taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge, all without life-threatening injuries.
It is not known if all the injured people were from the bus.
According to Texas State University, the bus involved in the accident is part of their shuttle system and is operated by First Transit, which contracts with Texas State.
