AUSTIN (KXAN) - A neighborhood in southeast Austin came together to help a family after a tragedy.

On Tuesday, Bryan Asael Moreno-Franco, 7, and his 5-year-old brother Cristian, died when their home on Wagon Bend Trail caught on fire.

On Saturday morning, neighbors held a bake sale and garage sale to help raise funds for the family. Organizers said they hope to help take care of some of the immediate and long-term needs.

"Right now, they are going through something that is very sad and I just feel like I want to do it and all the people all of the neighbors want to give them their support," said Claudia Hernandez.

The boys were laid to rest on Friday afternoon.

Fire investigators said the fire started from the Ford F-150 truck in the driveway and spread to the house.
