AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin Grand Prix launches a website to keep locals and visitors on track about the upcoming events leading to the first big Formula One race in November.
The race takes place during the weekend of Nov. 16 to Nov. 18 at the new Circuit of The Americas track being built east of Austin.
With an expected 300,000 visitors coming to the city for race weekend, including many from around the world, locals and businesses can find links which can prepare them for the races.
The website has a link to keep fans updated about all the events and volunteer work that people can take advantage of.
It also keeps the people of Austin informed about the various road closures that will take place during the first race weekend in November.
The Austin residents' portal will keep locals informed on the economic impact that this race will have on the city during this event. This section will also keep locals up to date on where they can park their cars and ride a shuttle to the track to avoid limited parking space or traffic jams.
