With Austin Fan Fest winding down Sunday night, many attendees say they were impressed with the overall organization and execution of the event. But some people did have suggestions to make it better next year.
This weekend crowds from around the world showed up in Downtown Austin after leaving the Formula 1 racetrack.
There they were met with food, music and the entire F1 experience -- with pit crew simulators, and interactive F1 racing games.
Since it was the first year of the event many people say they didn't know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised.
"It was a great family affair. Something to do for everyone old, young, and medium I'd like to have it here every weekend," said Belinda Flores, who attended the lively street festival.
And while most people say they will be returning next year to make Fan Fest a tradition, they had some suggestions to make it better.
"One thing I really didn't like and I kind of resented was how everything was triple-priced -- from parking, to drinks, to everything you bought," said Flores.
Most of the Fan Fest set up will be cleaned up by Monday with roads re-opening for the morning commute. Final numbers from Fan Fest should be released sometime next week.
