AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin's Chinatown Center was transformed by a colorful celebration on Sunday afternoon.

On the Lunar New Year calendar, this is the Year of the Dragon. The Dragon is one of the mightiest signs on the Chinese zodiac.

Sunday afternoon's Chinese New Year's festivities featured family friendly fun, with a firecracker display, entertainers, martial artists and, most anticipated, a performance by the Dragon and Lion dance team.
