AUSTIN (KXAN) - A man is in custody in Travis County Jail charged in the Aug. 29 sexual assault of a woman in the middle of the day near Ben White Boulevard, in the 3900 block of Clawson Road.

The woman walking alone was stopped by a man who asked her for directions . It was that man, identified as Chris Shelton Hodges, 47, who attacked her, according to Austin Police Department.

He is being held on $250,000 bond, charged with aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping, both first-degree felonies.

Police had issued sketches of the suspect in the case based on the victim's description of a man wearing a skullcap cap with a baseball cap over it, along with sunglasses, and brown-and-white loafer-style shoes.

It was the third stranger attack in the preceding five weeks.

The woman was walking when the suspect grabbed her and pulled her onto private property, according to police. There are several pathways that wind through the woods pedestrians use along the road.

Police said the man sexually assaulted the victim and ran away.
