AUSTIN (KXAN) - A woman who was walking in the 400 block of North Interstate Highway 35 on Monday morning was attacked by a man who got out of his car, allegedly assaulted her, and took personal property from her, according to police.

  • Dark-complexioned black male
  • Estimated to be in his mid-20s
  • 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall
  • Medium (thick or muscular) build (strong)
  • Corn-rowed hairstyle with sparse/short braids

Police said the suspect's vehicle is an older 1980s or 1990s model "boxy" style compact four-door, possibly a Honda, Nissan or Toyota sedan. It is grey or silver with rust spots visible on the car's body.

A police sketch artist composite drawing of the suspect is attached to this story.
