APD searches for sex assault suspects

AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Austin Police Department is looking for leads in the sexual assault of a woman near the Huston Tillotson University campus on Saturday night.

The woman, who was riding her bike around 1 a.m., was assaulted in the 1900 block of College Row. She observed a white quad-cab four-door pick-up truck. The suspect exited the truck, grabbed her and forced her into the back seat, where she was sexually assaulted. The vehicle was driven by a second unknown suspect.

The victim was later able to escape, flagging down a patrol officer. The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, 280 pounds, short hair, no facial hair. He was wearing diamond stud earrings in both ears and had gold upper front teeth. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with an unknown design and oversized saggy dark-colored jeans. The driver was only described as a light-skinned Hispanic male.
