AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police are on the lookout for a man who attempted to grab a girl in the parking lot of an apartment complex in North Austin on Sunday evening.

The girl, who is 11, told her mother that the man attempted to grab her while she was out riding her bike around 6 p.m. at her apartment complex in the 12000 block of Interstate 35. Austin police said the girl told her mother the man had attempted to grab her, but she broke free and escaped. The mother called police.

Police brought a canine unit to the scene and tracked the man's scent to the edge of the property. APD continues to look for the man. He was driving a Ford red four-door pickup truck and was last seen driving north on the highway frontage road.
