Accident may have been weather related

Police: wet pavement may have been factor in crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police are investigating an accident Sunday morning that may have been related to weather.

According to APD, a woman was leaving the River Lodge Apartments in the 10300 block of RM 2222. The pavement was wet and the woman lost control of her vehicle.

The woman collided with another vehicle traveling on RM 2222 at the time. She was transported to Round Rock Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was also transported to Round Rock after complaints of hip pain.

The accident remains under investigation. Police say RM 2222 is partially closed near the accident scene as they investigate. no word on when the roadway will be fully reopened.
