AUSTIN (KXAN) - Among those who toured the paddock area of the Circuit of The Americas track on race day Sunday were Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Academy Award nominee Ron Howard.
Both said the facility that brings Formula One racing to Austin is shaping up to be a rousing success.
"A lot of the naysayers said this wouldn't work in Texas," Perry said of the European-style racing. "Those few naysayers were proved absolutely wrong."
