Body found in water on South First St.

Officers called out for water rescue

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Police said Monday they found a man's body in South Austin.

Officers were first called to the 4900 block of South First Street around 8:30 a.m. for a water rescue.

When rescue crews arrived, they said the body was already dead in the creek.

Austin Police Department Homicide Unit officers will now take over the investigation.
