AUSTIN (KXAN) - Seventy-two people were arrested on driving while intoxicated charges in Austin on each night of the three-day weekend that ended at 5 a.m. Monday.
Between 9 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Saturday, police arrested 24 people -- 18 men and six women. Eight were subjected to breath tests; 16 had blood drawn.
Between 9 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Sunday, 25 people were arrested -- 19 men and six women. Thirteen were subjected to breath tests; 12 had blood drawn.
Between 9 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday, 23 people were arrested -- 19 men and four women. 14 were subjected to breath test, nine and blood drawn.
