AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police have arrested two men in separate incidents on charges that they took inappropriate photo of women while they were shopping.
According to arrest warrant affidavits released Monday, 27-year-old Damien Williams was seen on security video in a Target store off North Interstate 35 taking photos under the skirts of shoppers around 12:30 on Friday. One of the women later told authorities that she was shocked and had no idea what had been going on.
A second woman could not be located.
Williams had apparently followed one of the women for sometime before being stopped by a police officer.
One day earlier on the other side of the city, Daniel Chagoya, 52,was detained at an H-E-B grocery on South Congress Avenue after taking cell phone photos of a woman bending over a frozen food bin.
Both are charged with improper photography, which is a state jail felony. Bail for Chagoya was set at $10,000. Williams' bail was set at $7,000.
