AUSTIN (KXAN) - A truck and a sedan hit and killed a man crossing the frontage road of Interstate 35 near U.S. 183 late Sunday night.

Austin police received the emergency call at 11:12 p.m. Two different 911 callers told police a red pickup truck hit the victim first, followed by a dark-colored four-door sedan.

"She did not see the actual collision," said APD Sgt. David Crowder said of the second caller. "She just saw two cars parked, and they both left the scene."

Within a couple of hours, a woman called 911 to report she may have hit a person.

Police are now processing her sedan for evidence. So far, no charges have been filed.

At this point, police are not releasing the name of the victim or suspects.
