APD releases blood draw
results

AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Austin Police Department released the results from the Halloween weekend "No Refusal Weekend," and 50 percent showed more than two times the legal limit in their system. From Friday Oct. 31 until Nov. 1, police said the majority of those arrested in Travis County for DWI where over the legal limit.

A total of 26 people refused to do a breathalyzer, and those individuals were served a search warrant for their blood to immediately be drawn. The results show 13 out of the 26 whose blood were drawn had two times the legal limit in their systems.

Seven suspects where just over the legal limit and six people had three times the legal limit in their bodies. The department did not say when it will have its next "No Refusal" day.
