APD seeks suspect in NE bank robbery

Suspect fled in older-model gold Jeep Cherokee

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police seek a man who robbed the First State Bank on West Parmer Lane Thursday.

The suspect entered the bank on the 3900 block of West Parmer at 2:30 p.m. and demanded cash. He did not display a weapon. 

The suspect was last seen heading southbound on Mopac in an older-model Jeep Cherokee with tinted windows and out of state license plates. There was a sticker on the back lift of the Jeep.

This was the 15th bank robbery of the year.

Three other thefts were reported to police by businesses on the same block this year.

The suspect is described as:

  • White male
  • 45 years old
  • 6 feet 2 inches tall, muscular build
  • Salt and pepper hair, clean cut
  • Blue eyes
  • Black T-shirt and blue jeans
