Animal center cuts adoption fees

AUSTIN (KXAN) - If you've been thinking of getting a pet, this is the weekend to do it.

The Town Lake Animal Center is cutting its adoption fees this weekend for animals that are ready to go.

The fee is just $35 and that includes the pet, an ID microchip, all the vaccinations needed and spay or neuter surgery.

That's a package normally worth well over $250.

The ready to adopt pets are marked with special ribbons and will be available through Sunday.  The Town Lake Animal Center is on W. Cesar Chavez just east of Mopac.
