AUSTIN (KXAN) - This Sunday’s political roundtable included three political analysts to offer their insight on today’s politics. The trio of guests this week spoke about the newly passed House budget, what is to come in the remaining weeks of the 81st Legislature and breaking down Governor Perry’s secession statements.
Harold Cook is a Democratic Political Consultant who organized the Texas Eleven as well as being a former Executive Director of the Texas Democratic Party. Ted Delisi is a Republican Consultant who formed his own government relations and political affairs firm, Delisi Communications. Delisi also coordinated the get out the vote operations in more than 12 states. Jason Embry is a Political Reporter for the Austin American Statesman covering such topics as the Governor’s office and Texas politics. Embry writes the First Reading, a daily online political column, as well as being a former reporter for the Waco Tribune-Herald and Killeen Daily Herald.
The roundtable offers the platform for local political analysts to break down the legislative happenings of the week. Among the events of the week, the panel provided a diverse look at the issues being evaluated in the Capitol as well as discussing what is to come.
