Two alarm house fire New Years Day

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Shortly after 9 a.m. on New Years Day a fire broke out at a house at 9600 Capitol View Dr. in far south Austin.

Travis County Fire and Rescue arrived on scene to visible flames rising through the metal roof. The blaze was declared a two alarm fire and was extinguished a short time later.

The crews on the scene used their mobile water tank to extinguish the flames due to a lack of water access in that area.

All eleven occupants made it out safely.

Damage estimates are unknown at this time.
