AUSTIN (AP) - A coalition of civil rights groups and the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas said they will meet to discuss alleged human rights violations.

The groups are announcing Wednesday an upcoming meeting with representatives of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.

They will discuss human rights violations in the federal immigrant detention system and proposing alternatives.

One of the scheduled speakers at the Austin news conference Wednesday is Lisa Graybill, legal director for the ACLU of Texas.

She will address the imminent expiration of the settlement agreement mandating standards at the T. Don Hutto family immigrant detention center in Taylor, Texas.
