Flooding closes Barton Springs Pool

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Barton Springs Pool is currently flooding. The Austin Parks and Recreation Department Aquatic Division announced Saturday morning that they are temporarily closing Barton Springs Pool due to flooding.

According to Victor Ovalle with the department, once the flooding stops, staff members will clean the pool of debris, silt as well as assess overall conditions at the pool. To accommodate swimmers, the Parks and Rec. Department has adjusted the schedule at Deep Eddy Pool until the pool is reopened. The additional hours at Deep Eddy Pool will begin Sunday.

Ovalle says that the department will advise the public when Barton Springs reopens.
