LEANDER (KXAN) - An attempt to dodge a turning semi-truck led to a deadly collision for a Kempner man on Wednesday morning. The Williamson County accident left one dead and nine injured.
The Department of Public Safety confirmed Thomas Justin Fajkus, 21, died in the collision, which occurred just before 9 a.m. on US 193 at the intersection of County Road 258. According to the DPS, Fajkus attempted to avoid a semi-truck trailer turning right off US 183. When Fajkus passed on the right, he ended up hitting a second semi-truck trailer.
Fajkus was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt, according to the DPS. No charges were filed against any of the vehicles in the accident.
