Burnet Co. make arrest in shooting

BURNET COUNTY, TX (KXAN) - Burnet County Sheriff deputies make an arrest in a shooting KXAN first told you about Friday.

19-year-old Vinson Cowan was arrested late last night and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was in bed at home on Mesquite Lane early Friday morning. After hearing her dog barking, the woman peeked out her window and saw the end of a rifle pointed directly at her face.

The woman quickly moved her head away just as the man at the other end of the rifle pulled the trigger. The bullet grazed her head before hitting her bed. Two children sleeping in the woman's bed were not injured.

Cowan is currently in the Burnet County jail and according to public records, he has no criminal history.
