PHOENIX (CNN) - The CEO for large grocery store chain with two locations in Austin has resigned following an arrest in a child prostitution sting.
Michael Gilliland, CEO for Sunflower Farmers Market, is accused of soliciting sex from an underage girl.
According to Phoenix police, Gilliland was one of eight people arrested in a sting operation Thursday.
Police said Gilliland solicited someone online for sex who had identified themselves as a minor. Police said Gilliland arranged to meet the girl at a hotel and pay for sexual intercourse, allegedly driving to the hotel for the meeting.
He is charged with felony child prostitution.
Gilliand founded Wild Oats Market, which was bought by Whole Foods in 2007.
