AUSTIN (KXAN) - Cops arrested Tony Arispe, 18, in an Austin Independent School District burglary spree on Tuesday.

According to court documents made public Tuesday, four Austin ISD schools were burglarized within a few hours of one another the morning of October 12: Casey Elementary, Perez Elementary, Linder Elementary and Paredes Middle School.

Officers reviewed video surveillance footage from all four burglaries and said the same two people were responsible for both of them.

Police said Arispe was the mastermind behind the spree, but his girlfriend tagged along. She was later charged also in the case. She is identified in court documents as Anita Almaguer, 18. According to police, Almaguer and Arispe have a child together. Almaguer has not been arrested.

APD said the video of the burglary at Casey Elementary shows Arispe breaking the windows of school and going into the cafeteria office. That is when police said he ransacked offices, prying open drawers and attempting to get into a safe to look for cash.

Police said Arispe had the same method of operation in the other three burglaries as well.

Arispe was listed in the Travis County Jail at noon Tuesday with bonds totaling $30,000. If convicted on the burglary charge, he could face up to two years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.
